Recieved my first No RSVP

And I have to say I'm kind of upset about it. She was a former co-worker of mine that I have known for at least 5 years now. I've always considered her a friend, we've gotten together outside of work and all that.

I shouldnt be too surprised because she never attended any of my pre-wedding events. It still was a surprise to me that she would decline.

On another RSVP note...

I updated my tracker based on the 20 have RSVPs an 1 declined email from FMIL. Everyone was sent an invite for them plus a guest. Until I get an actual list from her my tracker may or may not be correct but it is still nice to see it change! lol

I was upset when a friend of mine RSVP-ed no. She and I were friends in college and then we reconnected about a year and a half ago and we've stayed in touch since. I was surprised that she didn't want to attend the wedding. She sent her RSVP back to me immediately so her decision was made even before the she received the invitation. So, I  know how you feel.

yea- some no's are harder than others.  I did find out through a mutual friend that one of the no's we received had a really good reason so...

Sometimes people want to come and have a really good reason not to. Someone who was really close to me that I know wanted RSVPed no, but I later found out they are going to be out of town that weekend.

Maybe I am a bad person. But I do a little happy dance when people RSVP no, so I don't have to pay for their meals!

I did have a couple that I was bummed about, but I know they have good reasons.

I was just telling FI yesterday that people need to start RSVPing no. So I guess that makes me a bad person too lol. I would just love to see this guest count around 120 instead of 157.

I'm going to assume she had a good reason not to come. Actually I will do the same for everyone who cant be there.

lol Ya.  I invited around 160. I wanted 75 to come and ending up with about 125.

I am spending close to $1,000 on people I don't really want there but I had to invite!

We need about 20 NOs, but my grandfather wasn't allowed to be one of them!

I'm feeling the same way! We've only received 4 declines and 2 of them are his grandparents who we were hoping would be able to make it.

I figured this didn't need a new post so I'd just add it on to this post.

So far there are 6 no RSVPs and they are all from my side. My grandpa and his wife are not going to be able to make it due to his health, totally ok with that though a little sad he wont be there to see me married.

FI's side better start saying no or I am going to take my no RSVPs personally lol

I'm taking them all personally.....

Found out tonight that her dad might move the flight from Thailand - /> Seattle up a week.  But not the flight from Seattle -> Here.  *sighs*
