January 2012 Weddings

The Weekend and week... sort of NWR and sort of WR

So... this was a super crazy busy weekend, and I have a lot to say, so sorry in advance for this being so long.

Friday- For those of you who missed the pets post, my parents, who I still live with, decided to bring in a stray kitten. He is ADORABLE and i love him already, but I was the one that got to take him to the vet on friday morning. I already knew that this would be my only free day, but thought it would only take up part of the morning. Well, he is all healthy, except for fleas. So I spent most of the free time I had cleaning, and my dress has gone on lockdown. I am afraid to even take it out and work on it because of it. We are hoping that we got it early, before they spread too much. But FI did cook me a wonderful dinner of mannicotti and garlic bread, but we are still eating it because he made way too much.

Saturday- The wedding of the family friends of FI. Probably the most disorganized wedding ever. The parents of the groom and one of the groomsmen got lost on the way to the church. The bride didn't schedule enough time for hair and makeup, and the men had the wrong shirts. Moral of the story- if you are using Men's Warehouse for your tuxes, triple check your order, the day before the wedding. They had numerous things wrong with their rentals, according to the GM that I am close with. So the ceremony was a half hour late in starting, and the reception was 45 minutes late. We didn't get to cake until 9 o'clock. Oh and the bride made her sister in law go home and change, because she didn't like what she was wearing, and refused to get in a family picture with her new family because of it. Shame on her. I don't care what anyone shows up in, as long as they are there.

Sunday- FIs grandmother's 80th B-day was the most enjoyable part of my weekend. It sucked that I had to leave for nutcracker practice in the middle of it. I missed all of the good things to eat for dinner. But I love his family. She wanted like a talent show of experience gifts, so all of the musically talented performed for her. Sweetest moment though was her two great grandaughters who recorded singing happy birthday, because they couldn't be there. ( they are 2 and 3)

Needless to say, I got very little homework done, and I have a lot due this week. Tonight we are going to meet with the photographer to give a second payment, tuesday is FIs birthday, thursday I have my dance class, and have to turn in lesson plans to be considered for a conference, and have a critique in one of my classes, and thursday, I have my dance class. Friday we go to the melting pot to celebrate FIs birthday again. So basically my small diet is screwed this week.

And because I have all this to do, I will probably not see you all until friday. If you see me before that, yell at me... It is the only way I will not procrastinate! Wink
