OMG, it's been so long since I've been here! I am blown away by how much everyone has done! I just checked my "days til" on the homepage and I am only 32 days away. BUT, I will be MUCH more active next week until the wedding.

One thing I need serious help on. I have to find music for the processional and recessional. I am thinking of two songs:  Jack Johnson's "Better Togehter" or The Beatles, "All you need is love",  for the precessional, so I need something for the recessional.

I had it all worked out back in August. I was going to use the beatles, All you need is love for precessional and Here comes the sun for the recessional. Unfortunately, the recessional song was donated to my sister's service and I can't bear to use it in the wedding....OK, Happy THOUGHTS!!

SO...if anyone has a great song for that, also for the father daughter dance (NOT something cheesy.   My FI and I are dancing to Lou Reed's "Perfect Day," so i want something in that genra.

We asked our Dj for music ideas for the ceremony, we just need 3 songs, one for bridal party entrance, one for Bridal entrance and one to exit.

The dj suggested looking into Vitamin String Quartet (we are just going to Ipod our music for this part as we have a pianist for cocktail hour and then dj for reception) so we decided that I will walk in to Bruno Mars - "Just The way you are"(fi requested this) and then we'll exit to "another bites the dust" both will be the vitamin string quartet versions so they'll sound classy.

I havent decided on Bridal party entrance yet, but was excited to have something to work with, maybe this will help others.

music was fully assigned to my FI... who knows what I will be hearing but at least it wasn't on my to do's!

Well, sticking with the beatles theme, Here, there and everywhere would be a great processional song... it was on Friends for Phoebe's wedding. 

My dad and I are dancing to In My Life. 

It is great to have you back! how did student teaching go?

Oh, i love "in my life..." makes me cry just thinking of it... and it's appropriately slow...

student teaching went well. i have to go back the 3rd of January. So that means i get to work the week before the wedding. yay!
