I can't complain too much, because other than some bridesmaid drama, my wedding planning has gone fairly smoothly.... until today... when I opened my box of invitations from Vista Print.
THEY LOOK TERRIBLE. I mean, it seriously looks like my 10 year old nephew tried to do them. The black border around the invitation looks like it was done with an empty ink cartridge. You know those lines across the paper that form when the ink is running out? Well, they're ALL OVER all of my invitations. The same with my blue text, on some of the invitations, it barely shows up, like the ink was running out. It looks like they cut the paper after printing with a dull cutter, so the edges are kinda jagged and you can see the white along the edges (which are supposed to be black).
Plus, there's little colored splotches all over them. Colors I didn't even use, like pink and yellow...I understand that magenta and yellow were probably some of the toner colors used when I created my shade of blue.. but still... they don't belong there.
And finally, on my return address, there's a little border underneath, and at the end of it, it looks like the ink bled... so it's like a line with a random smudge at the end.
I've never had this problem with vista print before! I've ordered all sorts of things from there, including invitations for other things. I'd understand a little more if I uploaded my own design, but I used thier design, and other than the text, I didn't change it at all!
Even my FI thinks they look terrible and he doesn't ever notice anything. So that makes me know that I'm not just being nit-picky. He's just as disgusted. I'm calling tomorrow to try and get refunded, but still... I wanted to have these done and sent out the first or second week in November. Now I have to order all new invitations, wait for them to arrive, print the envelopes, and send them out. It's gonna take forever!
