If you are going to rent tuxes from Jos. A. Bank, I have some advice: use the one in Town Center. If for some reason you must go to the one on King St., specifically seek out Debra. Avoid Carter at all costs.

My FI and his brother went to put in their tux order at the one on King. Debra helped them, put the order in, and FI said I would be down to look at tie/vest colors so I could pick one that matched the BM dresses. The order would be placed once I got that sorted out.
The next day, I go down there to pick the color. Debra had left, but Carter was there. I figured this would be no big deal. I was wrong. He first tried to get me to BUY a tux (I get that they are sales-driven). I was there alone, no FI-how was I going to buy a tux? I told him several times I was there to amend an order that had already been entered. At that point, he got snippy with me. I even apologized for the misunderstanding, assuming there was one.
He sat me down at the table and handed me a book to look through. I told him once again that the order had been entered, I just needed to look at what colors were available. He types FI's name in wrong, gets an error (because it's wrong) and proceed to bash the keyboard like a 2 year old. Ok, new system, I get the frustration.
He gets to the home screen where it clearly says "F7 TUXEDO". I suggest he hit F7. He didn't-he hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete. The system comes back up (keep in mind I'm perusing this book) and he begins surfing the website for the store. Not in the tux section-in shorts. So I ask if the home screen has come back. He says "I know what I'm doing and I have everything I need for his order. Are you going to buy a bow tie for him?" Um no, the tie is on the rental order. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I ended up buying a freakin' bow tie just to get out of the store. FI will be returning it tomorrow.
I called Debra this morning and we amended the order over the phone. I told her I had come in the night before and said "the gentleman who was there was less than helpful". She immediately said "Oh, I'm so sorry you had to deal with Carter. Please just call me directly for anything you need".
Had she not said that, I would have cancelled the order for all 7 tuxes. I was FUMING at the way I had been treated. Incompetence is one thing; outright rudeness is something entirely different and only compounded the situation. I also filed a complaint using the corporate number.
