Looking for affordable Hotels/Bed and Breakfasts for guests

Hi Charleston Brides-

I am starting my search for affordable hotel accommodations for my out of town guests. I would like to provide them with suggestions of not too pricey hotels or bed and breakfasts in the downtown charleston area.

Anyone have any recommendations?

    everything downtown is pretty expensive....holiday inn riverview is really cheap and is right on the other side of the bridge so its just minutes away from everything downtown

    The Marriott downtown is probably the cheapest hotel down there. I believe I was quoted $119 a night for it. The Courtyard by Marriott not far from there is $130 I believe. Those are probably your cheapest options. Check Francis Marion as well. Other than that, the rest of the hotels are pretty expensive.

    Depending on your wedding date you can also look at Vacation home rentals.  I priced some on Folly Beach and their weekly cost / bedrooms was cheaper than some of the nightly cost at the B&B's downtown.
