Nightlife recommendations anyone?

Hello! We are coming in from NYC and St. Louis to have our wedding in Charleston and would like to get soome recommendations on clubs in the city. We would like a place that would be good for the batchelor and batchelorette parties as well as just going out dancing.

Anyone find a great spot or two?

    There are quite a lot of bars in about a 5 block area, stretching along Market Street and along East Bay.  It really depends on what kind of atmosphere you want.  My favorite bar personally is Henry's because it has a very laid back, chill environment.  The more crazy, dance party places are Mad River, Market Street Saloon (think Coyote Ugly, girl bartenders, country/rock music, and they have women from the crowd get on the bar to dance and get free shots), Wet Willy's which is a daquiri bar,  and Light which is a dance bar with a light up floor. 

    There are also a few roof top bars that are nice if you are coming during warmer weather, including Vendue Inn and Market Pavilion.

    And then there is a wine bar on East Bay called Social.  They have other standard beer and alcohol, but specialize in wine of course.

    There are tons more, but hopefully that helps you start your search!
