Photobooths.

Hey Everyone!!
In the event that any of you were on the fence about photobooths.....get one or DIY! I didn't have it in my budget to have one at our wedding and was kinda bummed. But two weeks ago at my best friends wedding in Pismo, she had one and it was really worth it. It was fun for all the younger crowd, but the best part was to see the older crowd getting into it. They have the most adorable picture of the grandma's all together in the booth with feather boa's and pimp hats. The parents all got together and took pictures, and they're all so fun and candid. Looking through the "guestbook" with all the pictures made me realize what a great way this was to remember everyone at the wedding and what a great time it was.

ok...I'm off my soapbox now.
How is everyone doing?!

I couldn't afford one but I just purchased a Polaroid digital instant camera for a small fraction of the cost of the photobooth and I'm hiring someone to snap some pics for my guests during the cocktail hour. My plan is to have a poster board with some scrapbooking materials so that my guests can make a really unique entry on on my poster board/guest book. This way I can hang it on the wall instead of collecting dust in an album. I'm working on a backdrop.

I love that idea! Super cute! I think it's such a sweet way to capture the day. When did polaroid camera's come back?!

http://www.photoboothroyale.com is a pretty cheap photobooth company as well, and they're willing to drive in any 45 mile radius from Treasure Island (and they're willing to drive further away, just at an additional charge)... but they were wonderful at our wedding!  and I think I only paid a total of $600?  something like that... they're very reasonably priced!

I am definitely having a photobooth, but we'll have the DIY kind. I found this article about creating your own: http://masonjarbride.blogspot.com/2008/11/do-it-yourself-photo-booth.html

The article is good, but the comments at the bottom are also super helpful.
