Looking for garden venue for small informal wedding

Hi All,

First post.   We're looking for a venue, preferably a venue that can accomodate an outdoor ceremony (civil service) that will allow a small number of guests.  We're figuring 25-30 people.

Preferably the venue has a "wedding pacakage" so I don't have to do a bunch of planning for food and tables, etc.

Thanks Much!

The Oakland Rose Garden is really pretty. You'll have to have your reception elsewhere, though.

The Berkeley Rose Garden and the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden are other options.

The Botanical Garden has a small redwood amphitheatre that would probably work for your size (up to 90 or 100 or something like that), and it also has a simple building you can rent out for your reception. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and has big windows. It also has a separate rose garden section. I'd go check it out!

There is also the East Bay Regional Park Tilden Park Botanical Garden (in Tilden). You get 1 hour of a specific spot for $68 or 78 bucks, ceremony only but maybe you could have dinner or luncheon at a restaurant after?

There's also Shakespeare Garden in GGP in SF. It's not too much of a garden, but it's cute.

Google Rengstorf House in Mountain view, there is a small garden along with an old Victorian house, and a lake in the background.

Vasona Park is really pretty too

Also check out Fort Mason.  There are some great scenic spots in the area and the Firehouse is a funky venue.  It might be a bit more DIY than you're looking for but they have preferred vendor lists that would probably cover all your needs.

I know two people who got married at Freedom Hall and Gardens in santa clara.

The pictures turned out well but the only problem is that the garden is inbetween buildings and so it has that "I'm on my lunch break feeling." But it's located right next to the freeway, so it's easy to get there and supposedly fairly inexpensive. They just remodeled too, so their bar area is very classy. Normally people do an outdoor ceremony and move into the hall that has huge windows facing the garden area, but then a random guy comes out into the garden area for lunch... hahaha.

try Inn at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz. www.innatpasatiempo.com. We got a reception hall, garden ceremony location, coordinator and all the fixings for $1000. We also got a buffet for under $20 a person.

    BEAUTIFUL Location!
