Rehearsal space in livermore, ca and seeking advice

hello,
I am trying to find a reasonable rehearsal dinner restaurant in livermore, ca. My budget is for something at $20 per person with guest list of 35 people.

is that even possible? My mom wanted to do a taco truck at her house but my fiance parents are against that as they do not feel it is formal enough. I keep telling them that it does not have to be formal and they bring up how they do not want their family standing while they eat, blah, blah.

The wedding is being paid for both our parents along with mike and myself. How do you keep everyone happy? What do I do?

best,
Robyn

I did a quick Yelp search and selected "good for groups."

There's a pizza & pasta place that might be able to work with you: http://www.melospizzapasta.com/

I know that any of the chain restaurants would be able to accomidate you, like Applebees, Chilis, Chevy's or IHOP. There is also Casa Orozco, which is a yummy upscale mexican place on third street. Terra Mia is probabaly at the top of your price range, but the food there is amazing. It's all fresh made italian food and everyone is actually from Italy, you should check it out. That's all I can think of right now. lol

I had my rehearsal dinner at Casa Orozco and it was for about 70 people.  They accomodated us quite well.  Not too sure how much it was, but I know my mother in law was pretty surprised at the price...she thought it would have cost a lot more.  They gave us a set menu with about 4 main course items to choose from.  This worked for us because we like all their food!  And they have the best marguaritas!  Good luck!

I forgot all about Melo's!! They have really yummy pizza, but most of their seating is booths so your party will probably be in a bunch of groups of 4.

So when I first posted this, it randomly posted it on the Invites board...weird

Terra Mia and Casa Orozco both sound good. I'm going to keep them in mind for my RD.  =)

Caitlin, TK is being extra wonky today!
