Hey all

I already had my wedding (last month), but I was curious.  What is the average price people have been paying for photography in our area.

So, what did you pay (or will you be paying) for your photography.

Does it include an engagement shoot?

Does it come with a second shooter?

Do you get rights to the digital photos?

Ugh, I don't know if I want to read this thread as it gains more responses.. lol.

We paid $4200.
It includes the engagement shoot.
It does not come with a second shooter.
We do get the digital rights.

We also got some other stuff included in that package, though. Boudoir shoot, makeup/hair for pre-wedding shoots, and ALL DAY shooting on wedding day.

My FI and I are paying $9,600 for the photography for our wedding. We get 8 hours on the big day, a second shooter, the digital rights, a custom-made photo album, a photo canvas of our selection, and an engagement session that gets us all day with the photographer with hair, makeup, and clothing styling. Hope this helps!

I got a great deal from offbeat bride... $1800 for two photographers ALL DAY, disc with all photos and rights, and a one hour engagement shoot. p.s. cmgilpin congrats on the wedding!! how did it go?! I wanna see pics!!

I can't even imagine paying $10K just for photography !!    I hope you post some of your photos.  I'd like to see the difference between the $10K photos and $2K photos.

thanks!  It was pretty perfect.   The weather stayed at pretty much 69-72 all day. No one was overly hot and no one was cold. It rained on Thursday before the wedding, and it made me VERY nervous.... since our rain plan would have pretty much sucked !

I will be paying around 15k for wedding photography. Which will inculde the following:

Engagement Portraits

Bridal Portraits

14 hours of photography coverage on the big day

disc of images

500 5x7 prints in a photo box

Custom 100 page album

20x20 custom bamboo large print (print is glued to bamboo)

Online view album

4 photographers

1 videographer 

dvd of wedding video 

live stream of images and video on line for guest that can not make it.

We're using Wedding Bug and it's going to be about $1,500 for 8 hour photography, engagement shoot, web-hosting for 1 year, and a disc with all the images. I think it's an extra $100 or so to have 36 images enhanced (color balanced, sepia tone, etc.), and another $250 for a photo album.

I am currently going through george street photography and for $4k you get 2 photographers and 1 video person.  But all the digital rights.  

After seeing some of these prices, maybe I should keep looking!

I wish I had 15K just to spend on my whole wedding, let alone JUST photography and videography.  I haven't booked a photographer yet, but our budget is about $900-1000.
