Need help from a local!

Has anyone had their wedding at the beach around Seal Rock?  I don't even know if that's possible.  I'm from out of town and coming to San Francisco to elope, and I'd LOVE to have that heart cut-out rock in the scenery for our wedding, but I can't find any information about having a wedding on that beach (I believe it's Ocean Beach?)  Any info would help me!!

You could actually get married on the beach, but you'd need a permit.

An alternative (if you don't want to deal with permits or sketchy SF coastal weather) is to get married at SF City Hall (very pretty), then drive out to Ocean Beach for pictures.

If it's summer, I'd definitely recommend driving a bit out of town to take advantage of the beautiful California landscape.  Muir Woods, Napa, the hills of Sonoma... I think it's all much more beautiful than San Francisco.  And the weather is much nicer than in the city.
