Officiant: Judge or Chaplain recommendations

Hi! My fiance and I are getting married in SF in August. We'd like to be married by a Judge or Chaplain, but would still like the ceremony to be personal, have the officiant get to know us first, etc. Any recommendations? Thank you!!!

Is this because you'd rather it be a non-denominational or non-religious wedding? There are wedding officiants or essentially professionals who have no religious affiliation that can marry you besides a judge or chaplain, knot actually lists a couple of them under the vendors section.

They seem to charge anywhere from $350-500, that I've seen. They typically will work with you to create a personal ceremony, and will want to meet with you at least twice before your big day to get more acquainted.

    Otherwise...lurk around courthouses??
