HI there everyone,
I write the Bridal Fashion article for the San Francisco Examiner, here's my link:
I usually write articles about celebrity weddings, local dress shops, dress trends, and features on certain dress designers.
My article, however, is really supposed to be about the BAY AREA bride in particular, and since I no longer work at a bridal shop, I need to go to some real weddings to see what new style trends you ladies are pioneering!
What I'm looking for is to be invited to some local weddings in where the bride (you) went out of her way to be extra stylish.
I'd like to write about beautifully put together gowns- especially vintage, passed down, customized, or designed by or for you. Storebougth is fine too, I'd be interested in hearing personalized stories about how you found your gown(s). I'd love brides wearing interesting shoes, doing something cool with her hair, jewlery, or makeup. Theme weddings are good, costumes are great, and I'd love to see a wedding where you give your guests a list of what they can and cannot wear! I'm also interested in non-traditional weddings and clothing, or themes that are specific to the bay area.
My article is about Bridal FASHION so if you think you're wedding will be extra fashionable and you want to read about it in the paper, please email me at
whaledreamsof@gmail.com
Please send me a few photos of you and your fiance, and pics of the dress/groom/wedding party you might have already, and an invitation!
If I am able to make it to your wedding, I'll be writing an article about your special day that will be published in the examiner.
I'm not a photograher by trade although I will be taking a few candid shots for the article, but ideally I'd like to use some of your professional pics, so please check with your photographer to make sure its ok that these photos are published.
Thanks Ladies!
