ceremony question

hey ladies!so... we're getting close to our big day and we're having a hard time finding ideas for our ceremony.  We know the unity candle, sand ceremony, and I found this reading about our hands which I thought was cool, but nothing's really jumped out at us for something to do to signify us and our marriage.  just taking a little poll to see what everyone's doing during their ceremony.... we just can't quite decide.

    we didn't do the unity or sand, we had 2 readings and then my husbands sister-in-law sang The 1st time I saw your face while his brother played guitar.  At first I was so against it b/c I thought I'd feel weird but everyone loved it and are still talking about how great it was.  I guess it was so great b/c it was his brother.

    ours will just be short and sweet, no sand ceremony or unity candle, no readings... just the hand ceremony which is just about the sweetest thing

    Don't know if you're having a religious ceremony or not, but we did a 3 cord ceremony.  You can look it up at www.godsknot.com We wanted something diff. & I don't think anyone there had ever seen it before.  We got a lot of compliments/comments about it.

    Our friends did the knot from pp and that was something different from what we normally see--I liked it :)  We're doing the candle because our Reverend has it as part of his ceremony, but we originally hadn't planned it, although we think it's nice.  We wanted it short, so no readings or anything.

    We're not doing any of that stuff (Unity Candle, hand fasting, etc). We're just doing a really short ceremony with 2 readings. I'd be happy to e-mail you our ceremony?

    thanks guys for the tips!after much searching, we found some info. about the handfasting, and I really like what it symbolizes.  Trying to figure out our personal spin on things, but we may add that in.  K-hart, i'd love to see what you guys have prepared! my email is emthewondergirl@aol.com.thanks guys!agh! less than a month!!!!! :)
