Eloping in Savannah

 Hi All,

I live in Atlanta.  My fiance and I are engaged  but don't want a wedding.  We visited Savannah last year for a few days and had such a good time so I think eloping there would be a good idea.  The dilemma is the elopement packages I've seen so far are sooo expensive.  Most start at $699 and you must also stay at their inn for at least a few nights, which will cost about an additional $199 night.  This is way more than we want to spend on a ceremony for just 2 people.

Anyone know of any cheaper packages?  I would like something sweet but inexpensive.  Any ideas?

You will probably get the best deal by choosing one of the elopement packages.  We researched various options and went with the package from The Presidents' Quarters because it included everything, including two nights' stay, the minister, cake, champagne, etc.  I think the cheapest package at Gazebo Weddings is at least $400.  They do the ceremonies for The Presidents' Quarters, BTW.

Coastal Savannah Weddings starts at $85 to just sign the papers and prices go up from there.  I want to say none of their elopement packages are more than $700.
