I'm not sure of what your definition of affordable is.

A lot of places I've looked at have packages starting at 600+ dollars and will only travel if you are having at least 3 people do hair/make-up, which is both unaffordable and unrealistic for me. Are you looking for someone to do just your make up, or do you need BMs as well? Do you need hair and make up combo? Do you need them to travel to you or can travel to them? Can you give us a general range of what you're will to pay, or at least where your price ceiling is? I'm not trying to be nit picky, but this info can make a lot of difference when it comes to selecting a make up artist.

I'd suggest the woman that I am using!  Her name is Stephanie Sevilla and she has her own business, The Makeup Culture.  She has no minimum unless you want her to travel.  Her minimum for travel is that she has to be doing the bride's makeup (and she might want to stay within the Raleigh area, I can't remember).  That's it!  Also, her price is $175.  Basically, you pay $75 for a trial run with her and then that is factored into her $175 for bridal makeup, so you only pay $100 for the makeup.  Check out her website and see what you think. themakeupculture.com

    Hope that helps!

Crystal Knowls.  She's a Mary Kay consultant in the Dunn area but does travel all the time.  she has amazing pricing and packages.  Not only is she doing my make-up but she is doing all 8 of my bridesmaid

    I highly recommend her.

I'm getting my makeup done at Ulta.  They have professional makeup artist and it is only $35.  What a bargain!!! They are also doing my hair, and that is only $65.

My sister sells phamaceutical grade skin care products as well as makeup. A part of her job includes makeup artistry. She does wedding makeup as a side business, so her rates are pretty resonable.

You can email me at kellyanne84@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Also, she uses makeup that is really high qaulity and HD ready. They use it for professional photo shoots and for television. Whomever you end up going with, make sure you check out what makeup products they use. It can make a big difference especially in your pictures, and I think we all know those pictures are not cheap!
