Engagement Party Location Ideas?

Hello!

I am a former knottie who lives in Kansas City, Missouri, but my husband's family is from North Carolina.  We are trying to plan an engagement party for my brother-in-law and his future bride in the Raleigh area..and am having little luck on the internet.  We'd like to do a cocktail-type party, but more on the casual side for 30 or so people.  We have a mix of drinkers and non-drinkers, so a bar really isn't an option.  Any suggestions would be great!  We're thinking of doing having it in mid-October.

    Are you looking for something more formal or informal? For informal options, Hi5 Sports Bar has a great private room and wonderful appetizers/small plates. You wouldn't have to serve alcohol if you don't want to. For something more formal, maybe look into Iris at the NC Museum of Art. I'm not sure if they do events, but it's a beautiful space with tasty options.
