A friend of mine was seriously considering getting married there. I think the only reason she decided against it is because she moved the wedding location from the Raleigh area to Wilmington.  She visited there several times - even after visiting other venues, and she really loved it.  I think her only complaint was one of the directors wasn't very friendly/was a bit snooty... but she also delt with a male director who was very warm and welcoming.  Good luck!

Ok thanks for the info. I am in love with the ballroom! I just wanted to make sure there were no surprises waiting for me after we signed the contract.

Hey please keep us updated about thow the site worked for your wedding. I was also considering this location for my wedding because the gorgeous ballroom. I would love to know how it turns out as far as working with their staff to the wedding day. Hope you have a beautiful wedding! -Ash

I'm not getting married there but I'm planning a large Gala for my company the week after my own wedding. We visited and met with someone there and I couldn't be more impressed! It was GORGEOUS. Plus, the cost was comparable to the mediocre rooms that we saw at some downtown hotels. I haven't read any bad reviews of this place- everyone seems to love it and I can see why.
