Barn/Farm/Rustic Wedding

I am looking for Reception ideas, and have just started the process. I have been looking at websites for Rosedown Plantation (any idea of their prices?) Also looked at Shady Wagon farm (too rustic?) Fearrington Village (too pricey?) and a few others. I am thinking of something laid back but still classy, and doing a Carolina BBQ catered dinner.  I have only been living in the Raleigh area for about a year and feel totally lost going into this process. Any help would be appreciated!!

If you're having a smaller wedding, check out the Barn at Valhalla.

Duke Gardens has a really nice venue that could be dressed up. The rental fee was a bit high but you'll save money catering it with BBQ and it really is a beautiful place to get married.

Those would be my only suggestions- there are a couple other threads on here about the same thing (I was one of them). We ended up deciding to do a mini destination wedding to Asheville because they had everything I was looking for there!

McGuire's Millrace Farm in Murphy, North Carolina is a great place to check out! It has indoor and outdoor wedding cites, they do an awesome Carolina BBQ dinner and the facility is huge and beautiful. Perfect for a large or small wedding or reception. I know it would be a bit of a drive for you and your family, but it is a great place to check out for ideas too. They are here on the Knot, and also at www.mcguiresmillracefarm.com. It is a great Destination wedding and reception spot. If you are interested in a mountain/country/rustic wedding, it is a wonderful place!

I don't know off hand, but I remember that they were pricey and you didn't get a lot for your money. I checked them out over a year ago so there could be some changes. Very beautiful though.
