Non-limo Transportation?

Our reception venue is half a mile from our hotel - a bit too far to walk in heels and a wedding dress and too near to justify an expensive limo charge. Any ideas on transportation for me and FI? I do want to leave my dress on, so I don't think a bike would be a good option. What is everyone else doing?

    Do you want to do something fancy?

    If not, just have your father or someone drive you over.  That's what we did and our reception was 10 minutes from the ceremony site and we didn't want to spend the money on a limo either.

    I really don't care about something fancy. That may be a good option! Surely there will be someone sober enough to handle that. Thanks!

    They do trolley rentals in Richmond...it's kind of Richmond's signature. :) They have different kinds depending on how many people you need to transport, etc.
