Gift for older child in wedding

My fiance's 11 year old cousin is going to be an usher in our wedding and I'm struggling to come up with a gift for him.  He's a typical boy, meaning he plays football and like to rough house, but he's also extremely intelligent.  I really want him to have a gift he'll enjoy.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!!

Ask his mother what he is into and buy accordingly. 11 year old boy: Playstation games, science experiments (those really cool ones like you get at the Discovery store), movie tickets, tickets to an age appropriate event (BMX races?), some type of music CD's, Gift certificate to Foot Locker (so says my son. He says fancy-schmancy shoes.) Tickets to a Louisville Bats game, Season pass to Six Flags, some type of sports memorabilia from his favorite team and put in one of those glass boxes..... How's that for a start?
