Vendor reviews

Studio 3L Photography--  I LOVED them!! Kat was so easy to work with! She arrived early for use and got the detail pictures going, I am so amazed with the pictures she took of all the details of our wedding. I don't normally like to have my picture taken but it never felt awkward or anything. It was actually fun to do the pictures with my girls and of course with my new husband after the ceremony. I would for sure recommend her to anyone. The day of our wedding she had an apprentice working with her so that double the amount of pictures we got as well.

Mellwood Art Center-- Over all Mellwood was a great venue to have a wedding. They allow you to pick all your other vendors they don't have a list that you have to stick with. That made it so much easier for us to keep cost low. The one BIG down side is that on the day of the wedding they were not there to let us in at 8am like they were supposed to. Luckily one of the GM found a window open and let my family in to decorate. Our wedding was at 3 so there was a lot to do, the staff member finally showed up about 10am. We have found out they did fire that staff member though.

Belmont Florist-- Working with Terry was wonderful. She listened to what I wanted and delivered for sure!! The flowers were great!! They delivered and handed out flowers to everyone and even gave us a great deal on memorial flowers as well. With out flower I got a free toss arrangement a well which was nice, had I not wanted that we could have had a cake topper instead. I would recommend this florists to anyone as well.

Thank you! I'm also having my wedding at Mellwood. I'm wanting to hang a banner on the wall using those sticky holders that aren't supposed to mess up paint - do you think that would be a problem?
  • Thank you for posting this!  Always helpful to hear others experiences.
  • I had my wedding at Mellwood on March 31 and hung a banner using the sticky holders and they did take off the paint! We haven't heard back from them how much of our deposit they are keeping yet, but I would definitely do a test run before you use them in a large area. We tested ours when we first hung it at 9 am and it came off fine, but by midnight it was a different story, so just be careful!
