Park Lodges

Hey ladies!  I'm from NKY so this is the first time I've been on this board.  I've been considering other parts of Kentucky for my wedding because I can't seem to find the right venue in my area and it just pains me to hold the ceremony and party in OHIO - I'm a Kentuckian through and through!

My FI wants to get married outside but I want to have the reception indoors in case of inclement weather so we can have a back-up plan.  I'm looking for a rustic lodge-type venue or a barn that can house up to 250 people.  It would be great if it has a nice little area nearby that could accomodate a ceremony.  It would also be great if the venue had a self-serve food + alcohol policy (we have a small budget and want to DIY!).  Does anyone have any recommendations?

I looked on the Louisville parks website and found a list of lodges but there are no details listed.  Does anyone have any info about those (capacity, photos, etc?).

Hi!  Check out the Smith-Berry Winery near New Castle, KY.  The site is http://www.smithberrywinery.net. I've no clue on their prices or food/bev policies though.  GL!

We are having our wedding at Talon Winery. There are outdoor spaces for a ceremony and a barn for the reception. They are a little expensive, but their pricing depends on what day you choose and what areas you pick.  They will let you bring in any food you want, but you have to buy their alcohol.  I have more info if you would like it just let me know!
