One of my coworkers told me that Karen Chow made figure skating outfits for her daughter.  She said she was reasonably priced, and she was always happy with her work.  I know skating outfits are radically different from wedding gowns, but it's still specialized apparel.  I'm interested in this topic too, since I will have to find a tailor to alter my gown (which I will most likely buy from the internet).

I used her for 2 bridesmaid dresses and I was pleased with her work. I would say her prices are average. I would go back there again.

Karen Chow did my alterations and did a wonderous job. I would say her prices are better than average. She replaced the zipper on my dress (it kept sticking and I literally had to be cut out of my dress at my first fitting), took the dress in a couple inches, hemmed it and added a sweetheart neckline. All for $53. There's no way I could have gotten that price any where else. Here's my dress on the itty bitty tiny model:My dress on wedding day:This was after I changed shoes....so the dress was a lil' long (but you can see the dress better):

I used her for a bridesmaid dress, and actually had her make my veil-they veil was much nicer than veils in stores, and way better pricing.  I would definately recommend her for alterations.  Let me know if you want pics for veil.

Thanks guys!I actually did take my dress to her and will have my second fitting on the 23rd.  I am *really* excited to see what she's done with it because it needed to be taken in a couple of sizes and I've never gotten the chance to see myself in the dress with it fitting properly. Can't wait!
