Introduction (long)

Hi, ladies!I've posted here once before--but I'm not sure I ever really introduced myself. We live in Lancaster County but are getting married in my hometown of Pittsburgh.  I'm trying to do whatever I can here (dress, invites, honeymoon planning, registry, all DIY) to avoid constant trips back and forth!  My wedding is set for July 10, 2010, and we're both really excited to "take the plunge"!  I love the fact that these boards provide a sense of community for brides--I sometimes find myself lurking "after hours" because I can't get on while I'm at work (hyper-sensitive blocks because I'm a teacher).  So you'll see sporadic posts, but not as frequent as some!  :)We have a lot of the Pittsburgh-based things taken care of: ceremony/reception locations, florist, etc...now it's just time for the things I can do around home!  I'm looking forward to sharing the experience!  :)  Have a great weekend, if you're still reading this!

Welcome to the board!  I went to a wedding in Pittsburgh this past may and it was lovely.  They had their ceremony at the Pitt chapel and then their reception was on a riverboat.  It was really neat.  If you need any ideas, let me know.  Happy planning!

Hi sisen and welcome!  I was a more active poster, but have become a nighttime poster also because of issues at work also.  I really enjoyed getting to know some of the girls here and now that I am married I hope I can give some advice (at least for a bit).Good luck with the distant wedding planning, I know a lot of brides do that, but I am not sure how, so good luck!  It does sound like a good idea to do as much here as you can.Are you able to go to the GTG that K-hart posted about?
