Married! but such a day

 9.27.09 Our wedding was amazing but very emotional. The thursday before the big day my mothers doctor told us she wouldn't be able to leave the hospital for the wedding. We were so broken up and had not idea what to do, my wedding offiant called us and offered to come earlier on the day of our wedding and preform two ceremonies.. one at the hospital and then head over to the wedding. The day was so full of emotion... happiest day of my life for many reasons, all our vendors changed timing last minute to help out and we left the hospital all in tears... even our photographer who still managed to take some very touching images. Colleen, Thank you very much for sharing your amazingly emotional and special day. I teared up just watching the slideshow, I can't imagine actually being part of such a touching and difficult moment. Again, thank you for sharing. I will keep your mother in my prayers.

I'm so sorry that your mom is not well, but it's wonderful that you were able to include her in your day.  I know it couldn't have been easy to not have her there all dayand I seriously had tears while looking at your amazing pictures.  Congrats to you both! Lisa Beth

Wow, Colleen. I'm very sorry for the circumstances, that was a very touching story. When it all comes don to it, it's never about the "wedding" it's about being able to get married with the support of your loved ones close by. The photos are beautiful. Colleen -Cyndi photographed my wedding as well, and I visit her website often.  I saw your story when she posted last week, and the photographs of your special day brought tears to my eyes.  I'm so glad that you were still able to have an amazing day, even under the circumstances.

thank you all for the warm comments. Cyndi and Allison at Klose photography really gave us such an amazing gift. We cried so much at the hospital but it will always be our ceremony... our special moment all together where we became husband and wife with our loved ones. They did not only capture it for us but they were so kind and caring about our feelings while we were there.
