Tastings and cost

So we are planning on having upscale bar food for our reception (wings, sliders, mac and cheese, sushi, shrimp, etc.....). Our caterer first wanted to charge $150 for a tasting for three people to try 1/2 of the food. We thought we should be able to try all the food since we want to make sure everything is good. Now, there is an option to try all the food but for more money.

Does this seem crazy to you guys? How much are paying for your tastings??

I believe the $150 for tasting is in the contract, so I was expecting that. I just thought it was crazy to not have us try all the food being served to our guests.....and if we wanted to try all the food we would be charged even more. The contract never said only 1/2 the food would be tasted.

    Just venting! ha

My tasting is included.  Also, another venue I checked out the tasting was $300 for up to 6 people.  But $200 of that would have been credited to my account if I booked the room.  Hope this helps!!!
