Winter Wedding

My fiance and I want to get married in the snow.  We live in AZ, and we'll be going to South Lake Tahoe to check out some venues pretty soon.  We were thinking Edgewood, but it's going to be a small wedding and I just read another post that had a bunch of responses saying the South room isn't all that great.  I'm not looking for anything uber fancy, just a place to do a quick ceremony and a fun reception with enough room for dancing!  If anyone knows of a couple of pretty places for winter weddings please let me know.

Thank you!

Try The Ridge, Tahoe. It's on the top of Kingsbury Grade in Nevada, but still on the South Shore. It's right next to Heavenly Ski Resort. I work with them frequently and they have a nice venue, great staff and really good food.

I went to a winter wedding in Feb at Edgewood, and it was one of the prettiest events I have ever attended, and I have been to some amazing weddings where I am from down here Iin Newport?Laguna. It was perfect. A blanket of snow out on the lawn, a gorgeous sunset, and the sky , lake, and mountains kept changing colors with the sunset. The lake was totally glassed off, and all the mountainsand cliuds were reflecting on it. I will never forget it! We also rode Heavenly that day, and after the wedding we all went to the casinos.

Mt. Rose seems to have an incredible room for Winter Mountain weddings. HEre is the link:   http://www.mtrose.com/general-information/winters-creek-lodge

I'm getting married in January in South Lake Tahoe. We are using Lake of the sky weddings. Our ceremony is outside at Emerald bay there website is www.lakeoftheskyweddings.com.

We then are going to a local restaurant for our reception.
