Wow.  That's so incredibly strange!!  I've never heard of anyone just quitting like that, especially when they had a contract somewhere.  I hope everything is okay.As far as suggestions, I can only really give ones for Lancaster, which is a bit of a haul to H-burg.  If you are willing to pay the delivery (not sure how much it would be) I would DEFINITELY recommend Rosie's Creative Cakes of Manheim, PA.  She's not my cake baker, but would have been if I'd had my reception here.  :)  Also--Manheim is just one stop past H-burg on the Turnpike, so it might not actually be all that much in delivery fee.  Here's the website: http://www.rosiescreativecakes.com/I'm sorry I couldn't be more help for the actual H-burg area...good luck!!!

I am going with Ciao, the bakery connected to Bricco, for our cake. They are extremly laid back and willing to do anything you want. We haven't done a cake tasting yet, but from what I have had from the bakery I assume it is going to be great! Also, they seem to be extremly reasonably priced! They don't charge extra for flavors or if you want each tier a different type of cake. It is one flat charge for the size and design of the cake. HTH. Good Luck! Let me know if you contact them, I would be interested in someone else's perspecitve.

House of Clarendon is in Lancaster but I'm pretty sure they'll deliver. Cakes are delicious, but probably not budget friendly!

I second House of Clarendon. I am sooooo excited about my cake, and wish we could do tastings every week! Martine is really great to work with and very artistic.

I'm using Jasmine and Sprinkles and Swirls.  She is really great to work with so far, and very reasonably priced.  Check out her website....sprinklesandswirls.net

I just thought of another in Camp Hill: what about The Pennsylvania Bakery?  (I'm not sure about their prices, but they sure are good!)

I second About Weddings. We used them for our wedding in June and we loved our cake. Pennsylvania Bakery is super good but I've heard that they're expensive.

I'm going to be using Sweet Confections in Harrisburg...My fiancee is really not a big fan of cake but he tried a sample from them and said we had to get them no matter what or at what cost. We are excited they are doing our cake : )
