Reality Check!! Help!

I knew going into this that my pitfall would be the decor, I need it to be prefect, when we started the planning process I swore up and down I was not going to wast money on items that would only be thrown away, or spend money on expensive rentals ..... everyday is a challenge to stick with this!
My latest dilema, my venu comes with white plastic bistro chairs (is a tent), chair covers were always part of the budget ....  but ..... I went to the wedding show and saw gorgous chairs that are in many reception hall ^pictures, silver ladder backs ... they are double the cost of the slip covers, but could easliy be justified as they would be much more comfortable then the plastic ones! So, I either spend an extra $400.00 or settle for covered plastic. What would you do.....

White plastic bistro chairs don't sound that bad on their own actually, especially for an outdoor tent wedding. Anyway, are you talking about chiavari chairs?

    1. Are you taking $400 out of something else?
    2. If not, where is this $400 coming from?

Idunno, for me, we spent so much on the reception venue and video that we had to absolutely scrimp and save everywhere else. In my case, we wouldn't even have considered the fancy chairs, and we probably would have even cut the chair covers. I mean, $400 could pay for a pretty nice cake. But your situation is different.

Honestly, it's chairs.  You might have a few pictures with them in them, but to me, as long as their comfortable, I wouldn't spend the extra money.

I too love the fancy chairs, but like it's been said above, they're just chairs.

I would forgo the covers and just use the bistro chairs on thier own (but I really hate linens LOL).

If you do want to go with the fancier chairs, make sure to take it from somewhere else in your budget, which should get you to thinking, is it really worth sacrificing "insert item here" in order to have these chairs?

If you can afford it, I'd go for it, because I hate sitting in plastic chairs for an evening, even if they are slip covered. But, it depends entirely on where you are taking the $$ from and if you'd have to give up something else.

I love chiavari chairs too, but I couldn`t justify spending the huge amount on them!

Thank you all for helping put this in perspecitve, I truly had not thought about taking it out of another budget line, I just figured the budget could grow a little, in the end your right, they are just chairs, its so hard not to get caught up in all the decore stuff .... I am sure this will not be my last temptation .... but they really look nice!!

Just remember that when people are sitting in them, you won't actually see the chairs anymore!
