Terrace Banquet Centre (Vaughan), The New Paradise Banquet Hall or The Crystal Fountain (Markham)

Hi, I had just about my whole reception planned and we are now having some issues. We had even picked out the meal.

We are looking at all our options and so far we have these three options that will still allow us to have what we want.

Has anyone ever been to any of these places or heard of them?

The Terrace Banquet Centre (by The Infinity Group also does West River Event Centre all in Vaughan)

The New Paradise Banquet and Event Centre (Vaughan)

The Crystal Fountain (Markham)

They all look lovely and I went to The Crystal Fountain but it was over 11 years ago.

Any opinions or information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Im getting married in July and my reception is at Crystal Fountain. So far we've worked with George and he's great. We've picked a menu that works (had our food tasting already -- amazing!) with our budget and we have half the main floor with the fountain. What made you switch reception sites? If you need more information about my menu/price range I can help you out

The first place I wanted was a place a relative had gone and she was not comfortable with me using it. (It was several years ago)

Hey there,

I am having my reception at the West River this August. I have also been at the Terrace since it's both from the same company. I'm not crazy about the Terrace that just because I did not like the carpet they had on but the high ceiling is quite nice. Food wise, they have different options depending of course how much you want to pay. The food is pretty good (at west river, did menu tasting already) but I certainly have eaten something else that tasted better. I liked the in house wine from what I remember. This is just my personal opinion and I'm picky about food.

My only complain about them is their in house DJ (entertainment) is too expensive. Of course you can hire your own but they charge you if you don't so you might as well book with them. We don't officially start prepping until 6 weeks before the wedding so I can have more feedback about the hall. However it sounds like you need to book something soon.

The Terrace Banquet Centre in Vaughan is it!!!

I went to each place and met with the sales reps. The Paradise was beautiful and I loved the look the best but my FI found it over the top. The sales person there was not good. Online they advertised certain prices for winter weddings and when she made a package for us it was over $30/person more expensive although it included much less. When I mentioned that halls usually discount off-season dates she said that she did discount it. What confused me is that before figuring out the price and giving it to us she asked if either of us were Italian. When we said no she gave us the inflated price. We don't have Italian sounding names at all. (they actually sound very much like where we are actually from so it was an odd thing to ask)

For us it was between the Crystal Fountain and The Terrace. The Terrace was better able to fit what we needed although the Crystal fountain is beautiful.

Robert at the Terrace was wonderful. He made us so comfortable, he was willing to work with what we wanted and what we could afford. He explained everythig in great detail and took as much time as we needed to make sure we had no questions remaining. He made a package that is perfect and we are soooo excited now.

You are so right though, their carpet is ugly. I hope other things make up for it.
