Invites

Hello Ladies

Is there anyone who is DIY their invites? Which printing company did you use?
For those who are not DIY their invites - is there a vendor in the GTA area who creates nice invites at a reasonable cost ?

Re: Invites

  • we used NY GRAPHICS
they have about 100 stylea for wedding invites to choose from. They had much more resonable prices than all the other people who qouted us.

    contact MANNY - 416 858 6971
Mention that Orly gave you his contact info....

I can't remember exactly what we paid since it was a while ago but approx:
400 invitations, 400 reply cards and printing addresses on the envelopes was approx $900 i believe

got quality invites too! He was pretty flexible and met up with us pretyt much anywhere that was easiest for us and showed us all the samples

  • I will be, but I haven't even looked at them yet.  If you want to check out someone who has already made her own samples, check out BMcleodTeam.  She's done an amazing job with pretty much everything for her wedding.  She's pretty crafty, if you ask me.  :)

We will be as well. We "borrowed" parts of our idea from a post on offbeat bride. My FH is going to write a letter to his mother explaining he met the love of his life and will be marrying her, then on the back we are printing the details of our wedding. We are going to write it sort of like a period piece since we are having a vintage style wedding, something like he did with our website. We are going to use cardstock paper that you can get at staples and mail them in airmail envelopes. And of course, dye everything with tea to give it that worn vintage look. I will post a pic when we get a sample done. Basically, everything will be printed on our home printer so it shouldnt cost too much.
  • I DIYed mine... I got the paper from www.papercircle.ca, it was a bit more expensive than cardsandpockets.com but they had the colour pocketfold in the size I wanted.  I ended up getting my BIL to print the invitations at his school and it was free, but I had some other wedding material printed at Staples.  Not cheap though.  I heard Costco has a new printing center, you could check them out.  I found printing was super expensive, I couldn't believe it.
