Kitchen Stuff Plus is selling some really pretty ones for $2.49 and $3.49, for Christmas. And I know that KSP is sometimes willng to negotiate prices for ordering in large quantities. It might actually be cheaper than renting!

how much does it usually cost to rent the plate chargers...i was thinking of using them. However, I just don't want to be stuck with 150 plate chargers..

It costs as much to rent them as it does to purchase, I believe, if not more - I looked into it.  We didn't use them in the end anyway, but a lot of people will put them up for sale after the wedding.
