BRIDAL SHOWERS

Hi Ladies - 

I am complete newbie when it comes to Bridal Showers. I am helping my bridesmaids with it, but none of us have ever attended a bridal shower before.

Anyone have any advice/tips?
Anyone have any good theme ideas?
Or know of any interesting locations in the Burlington - Hamilton area?

    I had a backyard shower (it's what I wanted) My mom had her backyard tented.. it was gorgeous.

    The two biggest hits were the candy bar and the cupcake bar (Candy bar was open the entire shower, cupcake bar for dessert, instead of a cake)

    The girls planned some fun games and there were prizes for the tables that won (it was a lunch) ... the funniest game was definitely "Decorate the Grooms Underwear" .. each table got a bag of random items and a pair of underwear/boxers and they had to decorate them and put funny slogans (glitter glue is great for writing, so are permanent markers!)

    Find out what your budget is between you and the rest of the bridesmaids and that way you can determine what kind of shower you can have - e.g. at a restaurant versus someone's home, catered versus pot luck, etc.

    Ask the bride for a list of people she'd like at her shower so you can determine your guest list.  There are plenty of bridal shower games on the internet that you can use throughout the shower.
