Miller Lash House

Hi, I'm just starting to plan my wedding and have found a reception site I really like, the Miller Lash House in Scarborough. I was planning on having between 130-150 guests and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the total cost of a wedding held at this venue, any past numbers would really help! Thanks!

    I attended a wedding there (it was beautiful) as well as looked into it for myself. It's very expensive!

    The venue looks great.  Never been there... but hopefully someone on the boards can help you out.  I googled it looking for photographer's blog posts and there is some great decor ideas for inside.  Good luck!

    Hey, 
    My fiance and I looked into the Miller Lash House as well.  While it is a great spot, it only accommodates groups of 30 - 50 for an inside, seated reception.  If you're wanting/willing to have an outdoor, tented reception they can accommodate up to 220 guests for a seated reception (more for cocktail receptions).  We didn't want a full outdoor event (just the ceremony for us) so we found another mansion location that can accommodate our 120 guests inside for dinner, and it's right in Toronto which is a bonus for us.

    Miller Lash House:
    For the outdoor option: you'll have to purchase a Special Occasion Permit for alcohol and also use one of the caterers on their preferred list. Other costs: Socan (for music), and staffing.  

    You will have two options for rental: Tent and tented patio OR tent and principle rooms

    Standard Package: Outdoor Tented PatioSeated Reception: up to 220 guests
    Cocktail Reception:  up to 300 guests

    SOCAN - $59.17 + HST
    MLH staff charges on an hourly basis of $24.00 + HST per hour. 

    Tent Draping and Chandelier Package $850.00 + HST
    Tent Sound Equipment: The Miller Lash House requires that          clients use our speakers and amplifiers for tented functions, at a cost of$350.00 + HST. The client should arrange for their DJ to provide all other audio equipment for the tent.

    Included in the package: 
    Exclusive use of the property
    Tented Patio – clear span structure fully equipped with lighting, dance floor and ceiling fans
    Adjacent to the tent stone cottage housing washrooms 
    A Bridal suite consisting of 3 rooms 
    Caterer’s access to the indoor kitchen facilities 
    Screened porch with wicker furniture 
    Free photography rights on premises 
    Free Ample parking
