Starting to get nervous

I've had 4 hair trials done, and 2 makeup trials. 

I hated all of them. I think it's mostly my fault because I didn't bring pictures.

With that being said, my wedding is 3 months away and I have no one booked. Should I be nervous?

Also, can someone recommend an excellent makeup artist and / or hair stylist? I'm in the GTA (Oakville).

I wouldn't be nervous yet, as long as you are actively looking!

have you tried the mac counter or any other makeup counters at department stores?

Also- what didnt you like? Did you just feel like they werent doing what you wanted? Pictures might help as you said.

Thanks for the reply. I tried a mac counter, and then a mobile makeup girl came to my house. Both were awful. I'm fair skinned and told them I wanted a natural look, and I ended up with bronzer that was too dark, and raccoon eyes.

My hair I told people I wanted soft romantic curls, and I ended up with tight ringlets or limp lifeless hair. 

Pictures is a definite must for next time!

maybe give another mac person a chance. i work on beauty photo shoots and a lot of makeup artists that make it bigger come from mac. sounds like you just got a bad one. go into another department store with pictures and tell them the problems you've had before and see if they can do a trial for you.

I know how you feel-my wedding is in 2.5 months and I only had one hair trial and it was awful. I need to get on that as well, wish I could give you more advice. Good luck!

What is your budget like?  I had my hair and makeup done with a woman I met at a wedding show, and I loved it!

My look was natural, and the hair was curls.  I did tell her I'm looking for a bit of a 1950s look, and it turned out fantastic.

I'm booking her for my wedding, but the price was more than I had hoped to spend - $125 for hair, $75 for makeup.

I only just started looking for hair and make up and my wedding is about as close as yours.  I was really nervous that everyone would be booked up, but I've gotten replies from a bunch of places that are still available.  I'm sure you'll find something!

What kind of places have you been doing your trials with?  Have you been bringing pictures to show them what you're looking for?

My Family is hard to please, we have really curley hair and she worked very well with it. She comes to your home to do it. We are getting our hair and make up done with her. My godmother after seeing my trial as well as my mom, moh and jr. bm decided she wanted hers done as well. My whole family was really impressed and they are not easy to please. she does like pictures to help you get an idea and is very flexible if you aren't happy.
