Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

I am having a hard time finding a good but not to expensive place to have the rehearsal dinner, does anyone have any ideas to help with the budget? I have 20 people at the rehearsal dinner.

We're actually just having our rehearsal at the church and our RD is going to be pizza and bowling. We wanted to do something fun and unusual. Plus it'll be a good way to blow off any last minute stress and have fun with our friends and family.

Like PP said you can host a pizza party. Perhaps at one of your parent's homes. I had a friend that did theirs at the old spaghetti factory and had a fun time.

I would say having the dinner at a friend or relative's house would be your best bet with a $400 budget.  You would spend more than $20/person on a regular night out for dinner, so maybe doing a potluck dinner or ordering some takeout with everyone would be fun!

We're planning our rehearsal dinner for Toronto in the fall.  We've got a lot of out-of-town guests who we will include in the dinner so we're looking at a large group 80-100 people.  Most of the posts I've seen for rehearsal dinners are for much small numbers, so I'm wondering if people have any recommendations.  Our preference will be to have a private space where people can make speeches.  We always have the hotel as a backup plan but would rather do it elsewhere.

Any suggestions would be a huge help!
