Wedding Gifts Across the Border?

I live in Toronto, but am getting married in the US.  Does anyone know the rules for getting our gifts back over the border?  Are they duty-free, do we need to have a list of gifts ready to hand over, is there a limit, etc?

Thanks!

I'm not sure how this works, but I'm doing the opposite (getting married in Toronto, living in the US for the time being) and we've spread the word we do NOT want any presents that we'd have to bring back. If we don't get gifts because of that, so be it.

It just sounds like too much of a hassle to even think about it.

You can always call Customs and see what they'll say. It'll prob be the best bet!
