NWR: Restaurant Reqs s'il vous plait!

H and I are going to see Rock of Ages on Saturday with H's BFF/BM and his wife.

BFF and wife think we're incredibly cultured (snicker) since we like to go to shows and eat good food.  So they've always wanted us to take them to a show and dinner.

So, that's what we're doing.  Now, I just need some food ideas.

Rock of Ages is playing at the Royal Alexandra, so anything close by there in the $$ to $$$ price range would work for us.  So please, suggest away!

I like Kit Kat (Italian) and Ultimate Cafe (they have good sandwiches and soups for lunch but not sure what's on their dinner menu). Both of those are in that strip of restaurants on the south side of King just west of John.

If you go south on John there is also a good Mexican place called MIlagros, just half a block down at Mercer St.

Or if you allow for a little extra time, you could go to Beer Bistro!

The Red tomato / Fred's not here are quite good and cater to theatre crowd, so if you tell them your show is at 8 they'll make sure to get you out of there in time. You can check out their menus online...

Dhaba is also very nice if you're in the mood for Indian food.
I will definately go again to these restaurants!

I am a fan of Fred's not Here...decent food...but if there's a show going on, try to see if you can make a reso!
