Have you used caterers or wait staff?

I plan on doing my bridal shower at my parents home or my building party room.  Has anyone used any wait staff (bartenders, waiters...) or a catering company that you can recommend? Or any company I should NOT use?

I thought of another one - Daniel & Daniel.  I haven't hired them, but I've been to events that they catered and I've heard lots of good reviews:

Daniel & Daniel is a good one - but not cheap.  Have you also checked into some restaurants who can cater the food?  I checked with a couple of caterers to do a party at the Sunnybrook estates and it cost around 15K-16K for 150 people for a couple of food stations, hors d'oeurves and alcohol.  That was way out of my budget so I just stuck to having food catered and served more buffet style.  So it also depends on how much your budget is and how you envision your event.

They also have a restaurant you can go eat at (reasonable prices) to check out the food in advance if you like.
