Ugh...do I have to go back to work??  2 days off in a row was wonderful....but I really don't want to go back to work...I can't wait until next August when I only have to work 10-15 hours a week during clinicals....

my boss was supposed to take today as a vacation day...he's coming in anyway.  I'm so annoyed.  He's been breathing down my back all week. 

Oh well...I have today and part of tomorrow to work, and then 11 glorious days of NO WORK!!

I am so crabby and I don't know why. This week I was not able to sleep again after FI's alarm went off (he gets up at 5:45 while I get up an hour later). I don't like the way I am dressed today, my jacket looks stupid and I just realized I have 2 small yellow stains on it. My jacket is white! I look like a slob today, I think.

I cannot find part-time employment! Ugh! Paying my tuition/cell phone bill/ and gas has really emptied my bank account - and meanwhile - NOBODY will hire me.

I've tried target, Kohls, Frisch's Big Boy, Petco, Petsmart, TGIF, Red Lobster, Applebees,  Chuck E Cheese, Michael's Crafts, Mitchell's Hair Salon multiple medical offices advertising for part-time receptionists in hours that I'm available, patient transport services...WHY DO I LOOK SO BAD ON THESE THINGS??

Not even a call!

I have three years experience in a medical office, 2 in retail.

Wow!! I know this sucks, my FI spent a year and half looking for a job before he finally landed an <em>entry</em> level job (better than nothing, right??). It's such a difficult time right now for a lot of people. I hope you find something soon!!

Thanks. I mean..my hours are all messed up due to school - but still pretty open - I can't be the only college student with strange school hours. -_- something needs to turn up.

Are you able to take some online courses? I took 100% online courses as a graduate student and I was able to work almost 40 hours a week without messing up the hours. The online courses were life savers! It may be worth checking into?

Does your school have any student jobs on campus?  I know they're usually low paying, but money is money!

I use to take online courses - and that's how I maintained my full-time job - but I'm going for my associate's RN degree - so I have to take a lot of in-person classes..for obvious reasons. :\ But when I go for my BSN - online all the way.

I know! I've been checking the postings everyday - but no luck so far. :\

Thanks for the well-wishes. FI is paying for just about everything right now - and we're doing okay - but I don't want him to have the burden of paying for my gas too. He wouldn't mind - he's offered - but..Just..no.

T minus 60 hours and still no gifts!!!!  We have a game plan, though it doesn't begin until tomorrow at lunchtime.

I'm sorry about everyone's job situation.  Something will turn up eventually and sometimes its the most bizaree of ways.  I was hating my job and searching for months when I had mold growing all over my bathroom so I called a cpa/attorney that I worked for advice and he's like any way your looking for a job? I was like uhhh yeah!! So just be patient and something will turn up.  Thankfully I didn't have any downtime between jobs but I took a decent pay cut to take this job.

My WTF is that my baker now doesn't seem any bit interested in my wedding and I think basically is not going to do it so I'm back to square one and need to get it done next week and no bakery will give me the time of day this week.  I start working 60-80 hours a week by Jan 15th since I work as a tax accountant and won't be out of the schedule until April 15th.  I'm wicked pissed off about it because I've now been chasing her for 3 weeks on a contract and she basically stood me up at a meeting 3 weeks ago.

Some days I don't like my job...most of the time I do..but I wish I were doing something with my degree!!

I want to start by saying that this post bums me out since I'm ususally a super happy person and I try to be as grateful for everything as possible. FI and I started dating in a VERY long distance relationship.. He lived almost 12 hours away from me. We had no problems dealing with this and stayed super close throughout. He moved much much closer (only an hour away) and things have still been fantastic but it feels like the closer we get to the wedding the more stressed out I'm getting. :-/ I'm very close to my family and FI is understanding and supportive of that and all but is getting impatient with the amount of time I spend with them versus with him (particularly around Christmas) I'm trying my best to balance my last semester of grad school, the job search, spending time with my family, and still spending time wtih him. I feel like every moment I have I'm beating my brains out making sure everyone around me is happy and I honestly cannot remember the last time I did something just for me. Sorry for rambling/whining ladies but I'm just sorta feeling unappreciated and overemotional today I guess.
