Another Vista Print question

Hi Ladies,

I'm thinking of ordering my menus and place cards from them. However I don't see anywhere if I can order a sample. I just want to see what the paper is like. I'm also thinking of maybe getting the invitations and rsvp cards but haven't decided.

I already bought a DIY invitation but it's in Ivory and I'm sure it can be returned. I got 100 for $50 and it does include the RSVPs. However it doesn't come with a matching place cards or menus. The thing is I have to print all of it which is going to cost me more money to buy the ink at home.

I sort of want to have all my stationary to match but the one I'm looking at on the site is not exactly in mint green and I can't even tell if the swirls is brown or burgundy.
The invitations are around $50 with the printing plus around the same price for the RSVPs.

My colours are Ivory, mint green, brown and silver.  Here is the invitation (click on invitation)
Is it weird to have a mint green (BMs dresses are in mint) but not the stationaries?
Thanks

When you're putting through your order, you can ask for a proof, but it's just a pdf file.  As far as I know, there's no way to get a sample like you want.  I guess you need to decide if you want to risk it or not.  For what it's worth, I doubt your guests will notice that the menus don't match the rest of your stationary perfectly.  But if it's important to you, I'd pay the extra money and order from a place where you can see a sample.

If you just want basic samples (no specific colours, designs, etc) you can take a look here:

There's a free wedding sample kit.  I just ordered it, so it hasn't arrived yet, but I think it will give me a good sense of the overall quality.  Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but HTH!

I ordered my invitations and rsvp cards on Vista Print.  I have used them in the past for other things, and I always get email coupons.  I deffinitly suggest getting an account on their site before you order so you have take advantage of the discounts.  I ordered 100 invitations & rsvp cards (both came with envelopes), including shipping it came to about $100.  Deffinitly great value for your $$.  I upgraded my invitation paper to a "linen finish".  Are they AS NICE as some of the do it yourself kits?  Probably not...but they look very professional it saved my from having to spend money on ink cartriges, and overall, I'm pleased with the end result.  They have lots of different colours and styles to pick from to suit your theme.

I did sign up already. I was thinking of ordering a batch of 10 with all the info put in so I can see what the quality of paper is like.
The link to the invitation that I provided, Is that sage green and brown swirl? I'm just trying to see so I can look for another colour on the site. I know monitor screen varies from pc to pc.

I might end up using the Ivory and print it at my fiance's office. However I would like to get the menu for sure and the place cards. do people typically match the invitations with the rest of their stationary for the reception. I know they might not notice but I think I would feel bad asking my family friend to return the invitation since he got them for me from the states to save me some money.

i dont think all your stationary has to match.  some people like to match everything, but i prefer to use whatever i happen to like best.  i think you may like the invitations that you have already, because from what ive seen, the diy invitations are a bit fancier then vista print.  the proof that you posted appears to be brown on my screen.  i love the style!  good luck!
