Wedding Dress Alterations

Any recommendations in the GTA?  I live in Milton -close to Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington... but I'm willing to travel for good work!

My dress fits like a glove, but I need a hem and bustle.

I used Irene's Studio - excellent work, but she's in Toronto.

I'm using a woman who is associated with the bridal shop in Toronto (doesn't actually work there however...) We'll see how good she is at the end of thte month but, she seemed to know exactly when to pin and tuck everything.

    Hey ,

    I used this lady

She did a fantastic job in my gown. My bridesmaids took their dresses there as well and she did a great job. She's not expensive either.

I am in Burlington and used the seamstress at Coach House Bridal Salon in Waterdown - her name is Belamira, she is old and friendly and very good.

Her prices: full hem $120, bustle $80.

My sister is a fashion designer in Scarborough, specializing in dresses/evening gowns/etc. She is actually taking my mother's dress and completely altering it (its a little outdated from 1985) for me, taking off sleeves, making it backless, the whole bit! She's also making all my bridesmaids dresses. If you want, I could get anyone who needs in touch with her :)

Try Lisa Van Hattem in Waterdown - she is a wedding dress maker and does amazing work.

I went to Lisa Van Hattem too for my alteration work...and she made my veil too. She is awesome.

I second Lisa Van Hattem she is awesome! she did my alterations and made me a little sheer jacket. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. She is in Waterdown so not too far from you at all :)
