Christmas Cookie Exchange?

P&E is doing a recipe and baking accessory exchange and it sounded like it might be something fun to do.  Is anybody interested in doing something like this but with cookies or some other baked good?

Sure, I'm in! I have an awesome recipe for some chocolate cookies with chocolate chunks that a friend gave me.

I make some killer pudding cookies.  If people are willing we could match people up and exchange them sometime in December.

three questions:- would you do this via a GTG or mail? - would this be an exchange of just one person to one person or a few cookies among all of us?- not a question but a suggestion...either way i think everyone involved needs to let people know of their allergies. a lot of people have nut allergies which are a common cookie ingredient. i have a very strange allergy- honey, so i would want to be weary of that.

I was thinking of mail but we could do a GTG too if people would rather do that.  I was also thinking of just pairing people up so that the postage didn't get out of hand.  Allergy information is a big deal.  I hadn't thought of it, but it would be something that we would definitely have to consider.

i agree mail isnt a bad idea. you could use a website such as elfster to put it together and then each person could put in their profile what they are allergic to or what they dont like. i would be willing to do it, just wanted to know more info!

I would love to do it, but I have absolutely no time to make cookies. My two jobs plus doing photography now on the side consumes my life. I think it sounds like a fun idea! I suggest that you have GTG and everone can bring their cookies and exchange with each other. So, maybe I would go with outmeal raisin and leave with 6-8 other types of cookies. I would definitely get allergy information though if possible.

There doesn't seem to be much interest.  Oh well, it sounded like a fun idea!  Maybe combining it with a GTG is the best way.
