St Lawrence Hall

Hi Ladies,

I am new to the knot... just got engaged in November!

I am wondering if anyone has info on weddings at the St Lawrence hall? I'm in love with the venue and I know it books up fast.

Anything helps for a beginning ( and completely overwhelmed) bride-to-be!

Thanks

Re: St Lawrence Hall

  • Have you checked out their website?  I believe they can hold up 200 guests for a seated dinner.  You will have to get your own caterer, but St. Lawrence does have its preferred vendors.

What type of reception are you looking to have?  Have you thought about budget?  What questions do you have?
  • Their website has been down for the past few days and the events person there is on vacaton.

I know they allow you to bring in caterers/booze which is great for us as we want to keep the budget lower.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them and if they liked it.

Or any recommendations for decently priced caterers.
  • I haven't been to a wedding there, but I have been to cocktail parties held by companies and the like there.  Beautiful venue and sadly, I can't recall who catered those parties but I do remember the food being good.  I know when I was searching for venues, the rental price for the St. Lawrence Hall was inexpensive, but the catering brought me to way over 20K, which was over my budget.  Plus, because it is a historical landmark, you will have to pay the historical landmark fees which is charged by the caterer.
  • I do believe there is no landmark fee for that venue, one of the perks.

Where did you get married? I love to hear about other peoples experiences!
  • I got married at the Royalton in Vaughan.  Beautiful venue and the prices couldn't be beat for what we were looking for.  Check out my review in the sticky for Vendor Review.  Let me know what other questions you have - I'm happy to answer them.
