Limo Stress!

Hi ladies!  I am having issues with booking a limo, and want your suggestions please!  I only need a limo ONE WAY to my venue, 4 passengers total.  My bridesmaids and I need to be picked up in Toronto and taken to Kettleby (just north of Vaughan).

The problem is, all the limo places I have called so far require you to book "packages" of 5 hours minumim, which I don't need.  I refuse to pay $700+ just for a one way ride to Kettleby.

One limo service did offer me a 3-hour package for just under $400 all in, but I would have to take a black stretch limo.  Is black too morbid for a wedding? I've only ever seen white.  Should I take this deal or keep looking?  I welcome any suggestions you may have!

Maybe try some of the airport limo companies. You might still be stuck with a black limo, but they won't have three-hour minimums.
    Good luck...

I don't think black woud be bad.  And seriously, it's just for a ride.

I looked speficically for companies that had 3 hour packages, as we only needed it for pictures and transport to our venue.

I went with Celebrity Limousine out of Hamilton, you could check them out.

Yes - book an airport limo taxi, that's what we did! It cost $40 each way from North York to Markham. You don't even really need to book them in advance, they're basically like a fancy version of a regular cab.

    They looked like this: http://www.limoenquiry.co.uk/images/airport_pickup.jpg

We got 3 taxis for all our peeps, and going there, with waiting time (about 2.5 hours) at our portrait location and coming back, it was still cheaper than booking a real limo. It was $360 total.

Oh, and black is totally normal! Not morbid at all. Unless it's a hearse.

I'm using black - I didn't want white!  I agree with checking out the airport limos or just not saying its a wedding - get a flat rate for one trip - it will be much cheaper and not time minimums either.  You can also use a non-stretch limo - just a black lincoln towncar type - still fancy but less expensive.

I am using a black airport limo as well.  It is a beautiful lincoln, and I think black is more mysterious and sexy and celebrity like.  I was quoted $60 per hour, I think the company was Toronto Airport Limousine but I will have to get back to you on that.  I need my groom and his best man picked up and taken to the venue, and then we need to get to the airport in the middle of the night so I agree, I'm not paying $700 for a limo either!

I think an airport limo is the way to go as well. We plan on having a black limo as well!

    mcrotoronto,
I asked the bellman of our hotel to call the airport limo co. few days before and we got a quote (not hourly but by distance). They took us to our portrait location (from hotel at don mills/york mills to 16th avenue/404 - about a 20 minute ride) and waited 2.5 hours for us. Then they took us back to the hotel.

The total was $120 per car.

    @miellen
Thanks so much.  That's roughly $60 per hour, you get an extra 30 mins...I'll see if they can give me a little extra :)
