Bright Star Photography?

Hi! I'm Megan and I'm new to the boards here!

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything good or bad about Bright Star Photography? Website Here!

The prices seem too good to be true, but I like the styles of photos in his gallery.

Do you know of any other photographers with his style?

Thanks in advance for your input!

    Hi Megzilla,
So I met with Bright Star over xmas break as a potential photographer. I also really loved his shots and style. In meeting him though I was a little turned off because I mentioned that I had about 10 specific setup shots in mind ( dress in the window, FI and I under a blossoming tree in the orchard, etc.) and he basically told me that he was the creative genius here and would not do my shots my way, only attempt them if he could approach them fromhis own portfolio standpoint.

I was a little shocked since I thought it was more important for the bride to get some of the looks she wanted for her own life memories albums, and not the photographers building portfolio! I also found him to be a little boring, but thats because in comparison we were looking for someone who could get FI's family interested in having pics taken, = smiling/laughing.
Here's a couple other names I researched/met with in that price range:
--Moment at Last - Kevin (the one we're using) http://www.momentatlast.com/index2.php?v=v1
--Scott Eyre ( husband of a friend, same styles, wasnt available our day) http://scotteyrephotography.com/?pageID=304642
    -- Keidi http://www.keidiphoto.com/index2.php#/gallery1/1/

    hope this helps!

I checked out the website.  The pricing is great for a customer but I think it's really low like that since it looks like he had not shot that much.  I didn't spend that much time on the site but depending on the conditions of the lighting of your wedding if you go with him... make sure he has the professional gear and lenses for low light shooting.  It might be hit and miss.

    Good luck.

Thank you everyone for the input!

I think I'm going to do some more looking around. I wouldn't mind spending more money if I find a person that I like. Photography to me is an important aspect to my wedding.

    Welcome!

I'm using a photographer located in Toronto but he travels around the GTA (not sure where you are specifically) he's reallllly nice, takes gorgeous photos and is very very professional. He also delivered my engagement photos to me a week before I was told I'd get them.

Check him out, his name is Steve...
