What is SCPA Moms ?

We are a group of women from York and Adams County from various backgrounds who come together with a common goal; to improve the quality of life for local women and families.

How do we do this ?

There are so many things that women tackle daily; being a friend, a mom, a co worker, a family member, coach, mentor and so many more. We offer a range of activities for women and families to enhance life and form friendships locally.

What do we do?

Community Service – Bi Monthly we take on a community service project. We have donated cell phones for domestic violence, survival Kits for Families with Premature babies in the York Hospital NICU and Christmas presents for low income families.  We are currently involved in the Bowl for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and are sponsoring a Relay for Life Team.

Age Appropriate Play Groups – We work with community businesses to provide discounted and free activities and play groups for families.

Community Events and Fundraising – We have an awesome group of women who assist various non profits in the area with event planning and findraisers for the programs. Most recently we raised almost 5,000.00 for the local YMCA and collected donations and food with the Littlestown area Food Bank.

Programs for Women – We sponsor a variety of social events for local women including the Biggest Loser to promote health and wellness, Spa Days and Ladies Nights out.

Online Support – We offer online support for women through our website www.scpamoms.org/">www.scpamoms.org which features coupons, community events, community agency referrals and articles are various topics and social issues.

Community Support – All of our members are more than willing to help out or offer resources for other members in need. It may just be you need someone to talk to and grab some coffee…we are here!

How do we do it?

We function financially  off of donations, community support and fundraisers; including advertising on our site . We are in the process of becoming a 501 (c) 3 non profit.

We establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and community members.

We have volunteer members who write for and maintain our beautiful website weekly.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think add type stuff like this is allowed on the board, no matter how well intended it is.
