Oh, FI...

FI travels ALL THE TIME for work. So if he needs a weekend without travel, he has to request it as vacation before the schedule comes out. Last night he calls me from California at midnight asking, "When is my cousin's wedding?" Yeah, he forgot to request the weekend off.It's on the same weekend we scheduled with the priest to sign our "exit papers" for pre-cana stuff because they are in the same city. The same papers that are required to be filled out BEFORE we can apply for our delegation. And because FI didn't request off for any other weekend in the month of October, he travels the rest of the month, only coming home on a random Tuesday or Thursday here and there. This would be ok for meeting with the priest, if he wasn't THREE HOURS drive each way.I was so upset that I couldn't even talk to him. I just had to tell him I needed to go to bed and call me when he has this figured out. Grrr....

    Sorry about the frustration! Is there a way the priest can do some of it over the phone to save the drive? In our meetings there has been nothing that we have had to sign in person so perhaps he'd be willing to do it on account of special circumstances...? Or, is there a closer priest who can fill out the paperwork in person with you guys and then fax it to your priest? Good life lesson for FI! Sorry you have to pay for it, though! Good luck!!
